Fall 2017

Our Adventures in the Fall of 2017, had us going to Lewistown, MT for their Chokecherry Festival, where we had our photo booth there for Saturday, September 9, 2017. The day was hot with a lot of smoke due to the wildfires in the state but we did have a good day at the festival and sold a number of our phot products.

Prior to the festival, we arrived in Lewistown on Friday afternoon, staying in our camper at the Mountain Acres RV Park. On Friday evening we drove over to the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge and the Slippery Ann Wildlife viewing area looking for Elk that come to this area during the breeding season. The Elk were not very cooperating this night as they came out of the river bottom right at dusk with no real good picture opportunities.

Following the Festival, on Sunday morning we met up with some friends at Eddy’s Corner and rove over to Hobson, MT and traveled the Hay Bale Trail, enjoying the imagination of the farmers who made different characters, scenes and sculptures out of hay bales and then stopping for lunch at Utica, where there was a craft show and great country music. Finished the day by going back to the CMR refuge nd Slippery Ann wildlife viewing area taking photo’s of the Elk.

At the end of September, our next Fall of 2017 Adventure continued by taking our camper west for a long weekend to the Carbella Campground, along the Yellowstone River by Timer Miner Basin, exploring for picture opportunities of Grizzlies, Moose, Deer, Elk or any other critters that may be out and about. Had a fun couple of days enjoying the fall weather and scenic views along the river.
